A world food report is now warning that prolonged high prices are likely to continue over the next decade, putting the poor at an increased risk of food deprivation. A joint report of the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization and the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development said the risk of price increases, which have hurt farmers across the globe is high. It also says severe droughts on several continents will likely have a serious impact on harvests. The report also says production will continue to slow down over the coming years, putting increasing pressure on governments to feed the needy as the world population continues to increase.
In light of this information, I am repeating what I have been stating for the last year or so. Get your garden seeds now and start your own garden or you may not have any groceries. During my research, I found that one company, Monsanto, owns approximately 95 % of the worlds food seed supply. If you do nothing else buy some seeds and put in your freezer or somewhere safe in case of an emergency. Don’t buy hybrids and do buy heirlooms if you can. Buy a good general vegetable garden book if you’re new at gardening. Learn everything you can now or you may be in trouble later. Your family’s life may depend on it. Survival Garden know how is a must, if your already strapped for funds to buy groceries. Even if you have enough money now to buy groceries, you may not later. Gardening was humanity’s first occupation, so get something growing!
Be fruitful and multiply!
