Rudolf the Red Head Redneck Rudolf the red head redneck Had a very shiny gun And if you ever see it You better pick up your boots and run! All of the other rednecks Used to share in all his game All because of dear old Rudolf They’d never-ever be the same Once one foggy Christmas Eve Rudolf came to say There was once a star so bright To guide us to our Savior right Oh how the rednecks loved him As they shouted out Whoopee Rudolf, you Bible-thumpin’ redneck You’ll be crowned in sweet glory! You’ll be crowned in sweet glory! You’ll be crowned in sweet glory! Halleluiah! Merry Christmas Ya’ll (Sing to the tune of Rudolf the red nose reindeer)
This was inspired my by son Joey when he sang the first line just being silly. But it reminded me of my dear old Uncle Rudolf, who was as redneck a preacher as they come. He always had a gun for hunting and a Bible for preaching. If he were alive today, I’m sure he would tell us to keep on clinging to our Bibles and our guns!
